TBS Academy – Turning Curiosity into Tech Careers

Finding skilled tech talent has been a challenge for years – and lately, it’s only become tougher. The demand for technology skills keeps growing, while hiring for specialized IT roles continues to test companies across the industry. That’s where the TBS Academy steps in. 

More than an internal training program, it can rather be described as a long-term commitment to educating tech professionals and an initiative aligned with Telelink Business Service’s ambition to contribute to Bulgaria’s educational system. Ten successful Academy rounds later, the results speak for themselves. 

Why We Started 

The idea behind TBS Academy was straightforward: instead of competing for a limited talent pool, why not help expand it? By investing in structured learning, hands-on experience, and genuine mentorship, the Academy aims to train future IT specialists while supporting Bulgaria’s educational community.   

Our Impact in Numbers 

Statistics are the pillars of every success story. Behind the numbers stands a story, a person, and a path to be taken.  

 Here is what we have accomplished so far: 

• 1,550 people have applied so far – That’s 1,550 individuals who trusted TBS Academy as a real chance to start or grow their tech career. 

• 190 trainees were accepted into the program – These are the people who stood out, joined the Academy, and chose to invest their time and energy in learning with us. 

• 92% of participants combined the Academy with university studies – Most of our students managed to balance lectures, exams, and our program at the same time, showing real dedication and ambition. 

• 90 graduates completed both phases of the program – These are the ones who went all the way: from classroom training to working side by side with our teams. 

• 61 graduates still work at Telelink Business Services, and most who moved on stayed in the IT industry – Many found their long-term place with us, while others used the experience to grow into new roles across the IT world. 

• From all alumni, 59% stayed with the company over a year, 24% over three years, and 15% more than four years – A big part of our graduates didn’t just pass through, they built a chapter of their career and life at Telelink Business Services. 

• Altogether, participants earned 125 professional certificates from names like Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, Fortinet and 20+ more – Behind each certificate you can find  a person who studied, passed an exam, and took a real step forward in their professional confidence. 

What Makes Us Different 

Our approach goes beyond textbooks. Students get personalized mentoring, expert coaching, well-needed feedback, and the opportunity to participate in real projects.  It’s a hands-on journey that builds both technical know-how and workplace confidence. 

The results speak clearly: more than 1,550 people applied, 190 were accepted, and 91.5% of graduates successfully combined the Academy with university studies. Today, 59% of them have been with the company for more than a year and still counting.
